Those groupings are useful for describing an enquiry, but they do not determine which items can be combined or completed in one visit.

A good punch list is more than a collection of short labels. Each item should say what is wrong or changing and what result would count as the task being finished.

Write task-level acceptance questions

Number the items and attach an overall photograph and a detail view where they answer different questions. Identify parts or products already supplied and mark essential work separately from optional additions. Keep an item with an uncertain cause distinct from a straightforward product assembly request.

For a flooring concern, show the product and its junction with doors, trim and adjoining surfaces. Say which material should remain and whether matching or a broader replacement is being considered. Ask what assessment, removal, transition work and finishing would be included. That makes a local repair request distinguishable from an update that extends into the neighboring room.
