Keep both city references and their dates visible
Pasco’s Development Code page lists repeal of the Rental Inspection Program among changes adopted January 21, 2025, linking Ordinance 4758.
A still-published city rental FAQ points to a rental-license application and sample inspection form. That mismatch remains unresolved here; neither a current inspection process nor a property’s obligations has been determined.
Get current city direction before defining an inspection-dependent task
Identify the page and form that led to the enquiry, then ask the city for current direction for the actual property and question. Avoid commissioning an inspection-dependent task merely because an older form remains accessible, or deciding the full legal position from a development-code listing alone.
Retain the dated response and the resource version it addresses. Give a provider the physical repair description separately, marking any part that still depends on city clarification. If the proposal changes, explain that change rather than treating the earlier answer as approval of different work. No ordinance interpretation, licence application or inspection booking was undertaken for this guide.
Should the Pasco rental FAQ be treated as proof of a current inspection process?
No current process was verified. The FAQ’s form reference must be read alongside the city’s separate repeal listing; ask the city which resource currently applies rather than resolving the mismatch yourself.
What should a repair enquiry retain after the city clarifies the rental resource?
Keep the dated city direction, the page or form it addresses and the actual property reference. Describe the physical repair separately and leave any remaining inspection-dependent question explicit.

For a rented home, confirm who can authorize alterations. In a shared building, ask about access and work rules. A citywide construction period does not establish the age, condition or safety requirements of an individual home; check the property records and the specific project.
