Scope of curtain rod installation & hanging
Curtain-rod installation needs the rod system, window dimensions, curtain weight, and desired height and width. Identify the wall or ceiling surface and any existing brackets to remove. Agree on layout and support positions before fitting, and clarify whether hanging or adjusting the curtains themselves and repairing old fixing holes are included.
List rods, tracks and curtain panels
Provide the product models, lengths and number of windows, along with curtain-panel dimensions and any brackets, finials or tiebacks. A simple rod and a ceiling track or layered curtain arrangement can require different work. State whether the provider measures and supplies products or only installs what you have purchased. Resolve missing brackets or incompatible fittings before the visit.
Discuss position and supporting surfaces
Show the wall or ceiling, window trim and nearby openings. Agree on the intended height, width and curtain clearance rather than applying one visual rule to every room. The installer should assess the supporting construction and product attachment requirements. High windows, stairwells, concrete or restricted drilling can change access. Wall preparation and repair of old fixing holes should be named separately.
Clarify hanging and finishing work
Ask whether the appointment includes placing the panels, setting supplied gliders or rings and checking ordinary movement. Hemming, steaming, alterations and motorized track configuration may be separate services. Keep the product's use and child-safety information. Installing curtains does not repair the window itself or establish that a purchased panel will reach the intended length; dimensions and the finished layout should be agreed before drilling.
