Check the address reference without treating the map as a survey
San Angelo’s GIS page identifies address information in its Development Map and states accuracy limitations for its maps. Use that resource as a reference for a City enquiry, rather than treating a displayed position as a survey or a final address determination.
Keep an existing address or property-document reference with any apparent discrepancy. Identify which label or location prompted the question and what remains uncertain. This check did not operate the map or retrieve a result for an individual property.
Define the physical house-number work separately
For the physical work, describe the proposed number sign, intended position and surface that should remain. Keep appearance and mounting questions separate from a request to change the actual address record. New digits on a wall should not silently become the explanation of an official record change.
Ask the City about a record discrepancy or an intended address change, and an appropriate provider about the separately defined sign scope. This preparation selects no mounting dimensions, visibility rule or legal boundary and makes no emergency-response or address-assignment guarantee.
Does replacing mounted house numbers itself settle the City address record?
No. Keep the physical sign proposal separate from any City address-record or change enquiry. This guide assigns no new address.
What limitation accompanies San Angelo’s online address-map reference?
The City supplies its maps as-is with accuracy limitations. Raise an actual discrepancy with the City instead of treating the map as a survey or final record decision.

For a rented home, confirm who can authorize alterations. In a shared building, ask about access and work rules. A citywide construction period does not establish the age, condition or safety requirements of an individual home; check the property records and the specific project.
