Describe the change before choosing a portal action
New Rochelle’s How to Apply resource describes adding contacts or documents after submission. Separately, it describes an Amendment request with a detailed description.
Before choosing an action, write down what changed: the location, material, work extent or another feature of the proposal. Keep the earlier version available and mark the changed information. A replacement file without an explanation can leave the provider and city discussing different versions.
Keep uploaded evidence distinct from an approved scope
Ask Buildings which action applies to the actual change and retain the answer. Record the date and version the provider used for its proposal. Do not call a revised document an approved scope merely because it has been uploaded or supplied to someone working on the job.
If the proposal changes again, keep that difference traceable rather than silently replacing the earlier record. Identify which questions have a city response and which remain open. This guide accessed no application or portal account and verified no submitted or approved amendment.
Does adding a revised document establish an approved New Rochelle scope amendment?
The city resource treats added documents and an amendment request separately. No approval was verified here; ask Buildings about the actual change and retain its direction.
What should a provider see when the proposed repair scope has changed?
Show the earlier scope, the proposed version and dated differences, together with any actual city response. Identify unresolved questions so the provider does not rely on an unmarked replacement as an approved change.

For a rented home, confirm who can authorize alterations. In a shared building, ask about access and work rules. A citywide construction period does not establish the age, condition or safety requirements of an individual home; check the property records and the specific project.
