Identify the opening and its proposed replacement
Observed City window/door checklist text lists opening sketches, a replacement schedule and product records. Direct PDF access was unavailable during this check. Those document categories help frame an enquiry without assessing an existing opening.
Give each opening a consistent room or location identifier. Keep any existing product reference distinct from the proposed replacement, and indicate which record belongs to which opening. Leave uncertain dimensions or hidden condition for appropriate assessment rather than completing the record by guesswork.
Keep paperwork and physical-condition questions separate
Describe the actual concern at the opening separately: what is visible, what would change and which surrounding features should remain. A product record can accompany that description without becoming a finding about the existing frame, wall or proposed installation.
Ask the City what current documents address the actual proposal, identifying any missing or uncertain reference. Keep the response with the same opening identifiers used in the private proposal. If a different product is later considered, make that change explicit instead of carrying forward an unexplained earlier reference.
Does Plantation’s checklist establish one complete document list for every replacement proposal?
No. The observed checklist is not all-inclusive; additional items depend on the actual scope. Ask the City about the current proposal.
Does a product-approval document describe the condition of the existing opening?
No. Describe the existing opening concern separately and seek appropriate assessment. Keep the product document with the intended replacement, while the City confirms the relevant paperwork.

For a rented home, confirm who can authorize alterations. In a shared building, ask about access and work rules. A citywide construction period does not establish the age, condition or safety requirements of an individual home; check the property records and the specific project.
