Identify the surface and report location
Rialto’s Maintenance page describes graffiti removal on public property and provides a reporting route. It does not establish City removal service for a private wall simply because the mark is visible from a street.
Record the location and enough surrounding context to identify the surface. If known, label its material and existing coating. Keep the original images with the enquiry; do not remove part of the finish merely to demonstrate what treatment might work. Ask about uncertain ownership rather than infer it from appearance.
Define private finishing as a separate request
For a private finishing request, establish who can authorize the work and what appearance should remain. Identify whether the desired result concerns one panel, a complete fence run, a wall face or a larger repaint area. A small marked area can produce a different finish boundary from the one originally imagined.
Ask the provider to assess the appropriate treatment and any underlying damage. Include retained colour or texture references if available, while allowing for uncertainty in matching an older coating. Keep treatment selection, removal and repainting explicit instead of assuming every graffiti enquiry is the same paint job.
What graffiti-removal scope does Rialto’s Maintenance page describe?
Its stated scope is public-property graffiti removal, with a reporting route. Ask the City about the actual location rather than assume a private surface is included.
What should a private wall or fence refinishing request retain from the graffiti record?
Retain location and context images, known surface and coating information, the authorization contact and the intended finish boundary. These details support a separate private-work discussion.

For a rented home, confirm who can authorize alterations. In a shared building, ask about access and work rules. A citywide construction period does not establish the age, condition or safety requirements of an individual home; check the property records and the specific project.
