Describe the marked surface and public-way visibility
Lake Forest’s graffiti FAQ distinguishes public property and private property visible from the public right of way from private property that is not visible. It asks reports to identify an address or cross streets.
Use existing photographs and an accurate location description to explain the enquiry. State which wall, fence or other feature is marked. Leave ownership and the city’s applicability decision unresolved when they are unknown; a photograph or a submitted report does not settle them.
Define the private repainting only after response is clarified
Before a private quote relies on city repainting, establish what response has actually been confirmed. Keep the report reference and the answer received, including any unanswered question about the surface. This guide verified no response, eligibility or completion date for a property.
For remaining privately authorized work, identify the finish area and whether matching an adjacent surface is part of the request. Ask the provider what preparation and underlying-condition questions remain. A request to cover marks should not silently expand into a whole-wall repaint or an unassessed surface-treatment method.
Does a Lake Forest graffiti report guarantee that the city will repaint my surface?
No property response was checked. Ask about the exact surface and the FAQ’s visibility distinction, and retain the actual reply before relying on city painting in a private scope.
What should a private repainting enquiry identify after a graffiti report?
Identify the reported marks, response actually received and remaining authorized finish area. Describe the desired extent and matching question separately from any unresolved surface assessment.

For a rented home, confirm who can authorize alterations. In a shared building, ask about access and work rules. A citywide construction period does not establish the age, condition or safety requirements of an individual home; check the property records and the specific project.
