Name the stage and ask the City to resolve the wording
The City handout marked June 2024 contains one- and two-inspection wording, an in-progress passage and a final-inspection passage. This guide selects no inspection count from those statements. Ask Building for current instructions addressing the actual roof proposal and its stage.
Keep the proposed area and material description with that question, using information already available. Identify whether you are discussing planned work, an existing stage or completion documentation. Avoid allowing a general roofing label to conceal the point at which a City answer is needed.
Keep the response with the job-card and contractor scope
Retain the City response with the relevant job-card or report reference. Ask the contractor who will coordinate each confirmed stage and how its status will be recorded. A tentative work sequence should stay tentative until the inspection question has an answer.
If the proposal or stage changes, explain the difference when seeking clarification. Keep completed work and an inspection result separately identifiable. This guide provides no roof-access instructions, construction method, legal threshold, scheduled appointment or assurance that a stage has passed.
Does Daly City’s published re-roof handout give an unambiguous inspection count?
The handout contains one/two wording and a separate final-inspection passage. Ask Building about the current stages for the actual project; this guide does not choose a count.
What should stay with the contractor’s confirmed inspection-stage plan?
Keep the current City response, relevant job-card or report reference, and the scope and stage they address together. Mark any unanswered coordination question explicitly.

For a rented home, confirm who can authorize alterations. In a shared building, ask about access and work rules. A citywide construction period does not establish the age, condition or safety requirements of an individual home; check the property records and the specific project.
