The shower remodeling focus on the official site
The official Savannah and Hilton Head shower page describes remodeling and discusses shower doors, shower heads, tub-to-shower conversion and tile work. This directory retains its existing Shower Remodeling category. The source's examples do not establish that every option is suitable for the bathroom you want to change.
A clear brief separates what can be seen now from what is unknown behind existing surfaces. Product preferences are useful, but they should not be mistaken for a complete installation scope.
Separate visible choices from conditions still to assess
Photograph the whole shower area and the adjoining floor, then record the dimensions and door movement you know. Identify fittings to keep, products already selected and any known history of leaks or previous repairs. Mark measurements as preliminary and share product instructions rather than relying only on an appearance photograph.
Ask how the proposal distinguishes removal, surface preparation, installation and the final finish. Discuss what would happen if opening the area reveals additional damage or incompatible existing work. Request a clear explanation of assumptions and a way to approve changes before they proceed. The directory cannot assess concealed conditions or choose a waterproofing or structural remedy from photographs.
Questions for this enquiry
What should I document about the shower before discussing a remodel?
Show the layout, fittings, door movement and surrounding surfaces, with approximate dimensions and known repair or leak history. Identify products and features you hope to retain without assuming reuse is suitable.
How can I keep hidden-condition work distinct from chosen upgrades?
Ask the proposal to state known inclusions, assumptions and how additional findings will be reviewed. Keep optional product upgrades separate from work proposed after assessment, and confirm a change before it is added.
