Describe the pile before choosing collection
Lawrence’s indexed Trash Collection excerpt describes limited bulk-item service and a Residential Special Item Pickup Service form. It also distinguishes construction-debris rules. The full page returned an access block during this check, so the observed excerpt cannot classify a particular repair pile.
List discarded furniture separately from boards, wallboard, removed fixtures and leftover products. Add a photograph and an approximate quantity for each group. Give Solid Waste that description when asking which current collection or disposal route applies, before moving items to the curb.
Put removal responsibility into the work scope
A provider’s proposal should make removal responsibility visible. Identify which materials the provider will take away, which would remain for a separately confirmed collection, and who will arrange that collection. Avoid leaving the disposal decision until the room is already stripped out.
Include loading access and the area to be cleaned at completion. If the collection answer changes, update the removal line before approving the job. Ask the hauler to explain the intended destination and any material exclusions so the price reflects the same pile you described.
Does Lawrence’s limited bulk service cover everything removed during a repair?
The observed excerpt supports no such general conclusion. It describes limited bulk service and separate construction-debris rules. Ask the city to classify the actual materials and quantity using its current instructions.
What should a provider’s removal line item explain?
It should identify the materials, who arranges hauling, what loading and cleanup are included, and how the disposal destination will be confirmed. Keep unresolved city collection questions visible in the proposal.

For a rented home, confirm who can authorize alterations. In a shared building, ask about access and work rules. A citywide construction period does not establish the age, condition or safety requirements of an individual home; check the property records and the specific project.
